One of my friends just had her first baby, a little girl, so I whipped up a few of my easy-peasy burp cloths for her. As a new parent, I can attest to the fact that one can never have too many burp cloths. In fact, noting that there were 4 of them, Craig declared that this stash should last the new parents about an hour. While that may be true, I figure 4 more is better than none, yes?
Meanwhile, Warren does still go through burp cloths pretty fast, but not nearly as fast as bibs! Holy cow, can that boy drool! ...and spit up...and puke...and suck on them. So my next several projects are going to be bibs for Warren. I've made one so far, which is entirely flannel, but I think I need a more absorbent backing material. I am thinking terry cloth, but I haven't ruled out cutting up some of Craig's unused Sham-Wow cloths. If they can suck up a can of soda from a carpet, they MIGHT be tough enough for a baby bib. ;)
